A Bold and Colorful Summer Wedding at The Ovation Chicago with Mustard Yellow, Apricot, and Coral Blooms
As a florist, it makes such a difference working with planners who truly take the time to understand our design style, how we work, and the level of care we put into every wedding. We collaborated often throughout 2022 across Chicago, Madison, and Milwaukee during one of the busiest wedding seasons we have experienced. From the moment Midwestern Bride connected us with Shelby and Ever, it was clear this wedding was going to be something special. The vision was playful, editorial, and bold, with vibrant citrus tones that immediately caught our attention. Paired with the chic, industrial feel of the venue, the overall direction felt like a natural fit. We were excited to collaborate with such a strong vendor team to bring it all together.
Shelby and Ever are based in New York, so we didn’t meet in person before the wedding day, but we connected right away during our initial calls. We regularly work with couples remotely and focus on making the floral process feel easy and stress free, no matter the distance. They shared a few color preferences and creative ideas, then trusted us to take it from there. The result was an unforgettable celebration that felt bold, personal, and completely their own.

The Season of Tulips
Tulips are always a popular choice when it comes to Easter. Why is that? Tulips are one of the first flowers to bloom at the start of the Spring season. They even begin to bloom when snow is still on the ground, making it a clear indication that warmer weather is soon to come. The start of Spring and the Easter holiday coincide, hence the popularity and association with this particular flower, along with lilies, daffodils and hyacinth.
The tulip means "new life" and "perfect love."

Marsala-inspired autumn wedding for Andrea + Robbie
Wow! What a month... October really kicked our butts (in a good way). Now that we finally have time to breathe, we wanted to start sharing the weddings we were so lucky to be a part of. Andrea and Robbie's wedding was our last wedding of October, and we really couldn't have asked of a better way to cap the month. The couple was inspired by deep, bold colors. Much of their inspiration board consisted of florals and items within a marsala palette, along with pops of gold and deep purples. Designing the floral arrangements and bridal party accessories for this wedding was a treat. We felt that Andrea and Robbie's taste aligned perfectly with our style. In the end, we achieved a rich and elegant vibe that was fitting for the fall season. There is no better feeling than to see months and months of work finally come together! And a big thank you to all who were involved!!

Easter Blooms
Surrounded by flowers and loved ones for the past 48 hours... pretty awesome. We had several Easter parties in need of flowers, so we hit the ground running super early Saturday morning (heavily caffeinated). First thing first, we went to pick out a variety of beautiful flowers that screamed "Hellloooooo Spring!" With so many flowers to choose from, Sherry and I turn into a couple of giddy girls... it's like going shopping for new shoes. We freak out and have to touch everything.
3 hours later: This is the part where we poured ourselves a glass of wine and ordered a pizza. Nic stopped over to snap some gorgeous photos (Thank you, Nic!), and we took a little time to admire the work we accomplished so far. We can't say enough how rewarding it is to create these custom arrangements for people to enjoy. It truly makes us smile.
