Chic Minimalist White, Whimsy Wedding Flowers at Blackhawk Country Club in Madison
We’re loving the return to chic minimalism and monochromatic white florals. White blooms have a way of setting the tone without trying too hard. Whether you're planning your dream wedding, hosting a dinner party, or curating an intimate brunch, white florals set the perfect tone for a minimalistic and sophisticated atmosphere.
For Bridget and Andrew’s micro-wedding, we focused on locally grown dahlias paired with delicate white ranunculus and Playa Blanca roses. Centerpieces were arranged in matte white ceramic vessels, with added height from airy stems of Queen Anne’s Lace to keep the compositions light and natural.
We also provided simple taper candle decor and pleated glass votives, which complimented the crisp white linens, silver flatware, and white dinnerware. As the sun set, the gentle glow of the candlelight made the space feel undeniably romantic. The beauty of minimalistic styling is that is keeps the overall aesthetic feeling more intentional and effortless.

A Modern Spring Wedding at Scottsdale’s Camelback Inn with Soft Pastels, a Pop of Bright Pink, and Taupe Accents
Set against the desert backdrop of Scottsdale’s Camelback Inn, this spring wedding balances softness with structure. The palette leans into muted pastels layered with warm taupe tones, creating a look that feels elevated and romantic. Florals feature a mix of blush, pale lavender, creamy neutrals and a fun pop of bright pink. Garden roses, ranunculus, and seasonal blooms come together in loose, textural arrangements that feel organic without looking undone.
The ceremony structure was adorned with simple, asymmetrical designs and light mauve draping, letting the beautiful backdrop of Camelback Mountain speak for itself. Reception tables carry the same understated approach. Low floral centerpieces in soft hues pair with warm linens, neutral stone table numbers, and taupe candles. Every detail works together without competing, allowing the space to feel natural and not overdone. This wedding is a perfect example of how spring color can feel modern and timeless at the same time.

A Bold and Colorful Summer Wedding at The Ovation Chicago with Mustard Yellow, Apricot, and Coral Blooms
As a florist, it makes such a difference working with planners who truly take the time to understand our design style, how we work, and the level of care we put into every wedding. Midwestern Bride has always been that kind of partner, and it is genuinely a pleasure working with their team. We collaborated often throughout 2022 across Chicago, Madison, and Milwaukee during one of the busiest wedding seasons we have experienced. Even with the pace and volume of events, everything ran smoothly and thoughtfully. Their team is organized, efficient, and incredibly dependable.
Before recommending a florist, Midwestern Bride carefully considers each couple’s needs, budget, and overall style to make sure it is the right fit. We really appreciate that approach. It allows us to step into each project already aligned with the clients and confident in the direction, which makes the entire process more enjoyable for everyone involved.
From the moment Midwestern Bride connected us with Shelby and Ever, it was clear this wedding was going to be something special. The vision was playful, editorial, and bold, with vibrant citrus tones that immediately caught our attention. Paired with the chic, industrial feel of the venue, the overall direction felt like a natural fit. We were excited to collaborate with such a strong vendor team to bring it all together.
Shelby and Ever are based in New York, so we didn’t meet in person before the wedding day, but we connected right away during our initial calls. We regularly work with couples remotely and focus on making the floral process feel easy and stress free, no matter the distance. They shared a few color preferences and creative ideas, then trusted us to take it from there. The result was an unforgettable celebration that felt bold, personal, and completely their own.

Julie and Donny’s Pink and Modern SPRING Arizona Wedding
Go Pink, Or Go Home!
Couples who want something outside-the-box are some of our favorite people to work with. When Julie expressed her wedding vision as something modern, pink and whimsical that would really wow her and Donny’s guests, well, I was filled with excitement to come up with some cool ideas for them. She didn’t have an exact way to describe what she wanted, which was totally cool with me! Welcoming creative challenges is very much a part of this job, and I respect those who want to take a risk to create a wedding unlike anyone else.
These two live in Canada, but flew out with their friends and family for a special and epic day in Arizona. Thank you, Julie and Donny, for your adventurous spirits! Xo.
Painted baby’s breath, Cappuccino ranunculus (with a pop of red ranunculus), and pink pampas grass made the ceremony space really stand out. The two wanted to embrace the Southwestern elements, so to stay in line with the “modern-pink” theme we painted a few desert plants and succulents and made some cool terrarium centerpieces. The pink sand and druzy quartz tied the whole centerpiece look together. For the transition into night, we found some pink twinkle lights that we weaved throughout the centerpieces.

Jeanine + Ankur’s Warm and Colorful Memorial Union Reception
The Memorial Union is a special place because it’s where so many couples meet for the first time, whether in passing or attending school together, so I can see why many go back to get married there. It’s a very special place to me personally because it’s where my mom and dad went to school together, and I spent a lot of time there with my family, feeding popcorn to the ducks by the lake and eating lots of ice cream. So it’s surreal to be there working on weddings for 1209 and watching our clients reminisce about past memories too while creating new memories together.
Being a part of Jeanine and Ankur’s wedding last summer really opened up some amazing doors for this upcoming summer. I get so wrapped up in each wedding we are currently working on, that I often forget that that vary wedding could somehow connect us to future weddings and new friendships. I was so ecstatic that I finally got to work with Kate Senger Photography on this wedding after meeting almost a year prior. She is a talented photographer that truly vibes with and captures the most precious details for her couples. It is because of her that we were able to meet Jeanine and Ankur and be a part of their wedding day. And because of this, we got to meet Julianne from Glitter & Twine Events. We quickly became friends and are going to be working on another wedding together this June. I love the universe and how one connection leads to the next!
